Wawa Welcome America Festival 2025

Panavid was proud to help bring America’s largest Fourth of July celebration to life in Philadelphia. The Wawa Welcome America Festival culminated with the city’s biggest free outdoor concert broadcast live on NBC10 Philadelphia from the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, and concluded with a spectacular fireworks display over the Philadelphia Art Museum.

OUR ROLE

Working in partnership with NBC10 Philadelphia, Panavid provided full technical production and comprehensive RF audio support for this nationally celebrated event. Led by Panavid’s Gary Shinn, our team guided the project from early planning and site surveys to on-the-ground logistics and live execution.

THE SOLUTION

To support a live broadcast of this scale, Panavid designed and implemented a robust communication and audio system that kept every part of the production connected. Our team not only delivered the technology but also oversaw the full scope of technical production—from early coordination and planning through on-site logistics and live execution—ensuring the concert and fireworks came together seamlessly for both the live audience and the NBC10 broadcast.

THE RESULT

NBC10 Philadelphia’s live prime-time broadcast and digital simulcasts on platforms like Peacock, Roku, and Fire TV ensured that hundreds of thousands of viewers across the region experienced the 2025 Wawa Welcome America Festival, keeping it one of the nation’s most widely shared Independence Day events. On-site attendance was lower than typical years, largely due to last-minute headliner cancellations (the Parkway concert has historically drawn as many as 175,000 attendees). Even with the lighter turnout on the ground, the festival’s reach through television and streaming cemented its role as a marquee July 4th celebration.
