Role Overview

The Director of Integration provides leadership, strategic direction, and operational oversight for the AV Integration Department. This role manages a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering complex audiovisual installations in conference rooms, House of Worship venues, theaters, and auditoriums.

The Director ensures projects are completed on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards by driving process efficiency, team performance, and client satisfaction. As a senior leader, this position serves as a bridge between executive leadership, technical staff, and clients—aligning department goals with overall company strategy.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Department Leadership & Management

  • Lead, mentor, and evaluate a team of Project Managers and related staff.

  • Establish performance standards and provide coaching to ensure team success.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Strategic Planning & Process Development

  • Develop and implement best practices for project execution, resource allocation, and quality control.

  • Standardize workflows for estimating, scheduling, and reporting.

  • Drive efficiency through process improvements and technology adoption.

Oversight of Project Delivery

  • Monitor project pipelines, budgets, schedules, and risk factors.

  • Support Project Managers in resolving escalated technical or logistical challenges.

  • Ensure adherence to design specifications, safety standards, and industry best practices.

Financial Management

  • Manage departmental budgets, staffing allocations, and profitability targets.

  • Collaborate with sales and engineering teams on accurate project cost forecasting.

  • Review project financials to ensure healthy margins.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain high-level relationships with key clients and partners.

  • Participate in major project kickoffs and closeout meetings.

  • Act as an escalation point for client issues that require senior-level intervention.

Talent Development & Recruitment

  • Identify staffing needs and assist in recruiting skilled Project Managers and technical staff.

  • Provide training opportunities to advance technical and leadership skills within the department.


Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in audiovisual integration, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Proven track record of managing multiple Project Managers and large-scale AV projects.

  • Deep understanding of AV systems for conference rooms, worship venues, theaters, and auditoriums—including audio, video, lighting, and control technologies.

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and financial management skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience standardizing project delivery processes across multiple project types.

  • Familiarity with AV manufacturers such as Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Shure, QSC, Barco, and others.

Work Environment

  • Primarily remote position with regular site visits for project oversight and client engagement.
