Production Manager

The Audio Video Production Manager will be involved in all stages of the event production cycle, from concept to final billing. They will work directly with the client, extracting their vision and ideas into a realistic view of the project, satisfying their needs while meeting their budget, all with a high level of service. Direct communication and coordination with Rental and Staging team members are a must to ensure proper equipment is ready and available. Interacting and maintaining strong relationships with our sub-rental companies to ensure proper budgeting and delivery of service. Post show feedback from clients and technicians is necessary to complete the job cycle and create a long lasting relationship and successful shows for the future.


  • In charge of supervising and scheduling the staffing of technicians for all events they manage using a combination of internal, freelance staff and external staff employees from various resources and contractors.

  • Work with other production managers and onsite project managers to ensure a successful show from start to finish

  • Have and gain knowledge on new technology and how to improve an event or show based on inventory and new technology.

  • Work with Account Managers to develop proposals, scope of work and ensure proper budgeting.

  • The manager communicates closely with Event Planners, Clients, Technicians and Facility Managers to ensure that all audio visual components are implemented in such a way as to provide a solution that meets the demands, not only of individuals involved, but also the goal(s) of the particular event.

  • Perform site visits with customers and/or event planners to determine their individual standards for onsite productions as it relates to audio visual technician support.

  • Be prepared to be a contingency technician on an exception basis which may include assisting with room configuration, setup and tear down of audio visual equipment in addition to physical configuration (lifting involved) and connecting and interfacing all audio visual equipment


  • Minimum of 3 years in the AV Industry

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills

  • Must be proficient with both PC and Mac platforms, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and G Suite

  • Experience with VectorWorks and being able to create client drawings a plus but not a requirement.

  • Work in excess of 40 hours per week as needed. This would include evenings, holidays and weekends, as well as some travel.

  • Must have personal reliable transportation to and from work and job sites
